
Simone Marchetti, Vanity Fair European Editorial Director & Vanity Fair Italia Editor-in-Chief
Simone Marchetti, 52, joined Condé Nast Italia as the new editor-in-chief of Vanity Fair in December 2018. In two years and most of all during pandemic he has created a new, unique model of information that mixes print, digital and events into a new way of conceiving journalism as a vehicle of news, investigation, entertainment and activism. From December 2020 he has been promoted Vanity Fair European Editorial Director.
A young, influential and eclectic observer of fashion, lifestyle and current affairs and the instigator of a number of new cross-media projects, Simone is one of the most active advocates of digital evolution in international journalism. His previous experience was the newspaper Repubblica where he as one of the pioneers in the fashion information for formats as documentaries, live reviews and digital events. He curated art and fashion exhibitions, wrote books about fashion and presented seasons of the fashion-themed TV show, broadcast on Sky, also co-host of radio programs on Rai.
