Roopal Patel, SVP, Fashion Director, Saks Fifth Avenue

Roopal Patel joined Saks​ Fifth Avenue​ as Senior Vice President, Fashion Director in September 2015. In this position, Ms. Patel plays a key role in forecasting the trends that underpin Saks​ Fifth Avenue​’​s​ buying activities, articulating the luxury retailer’s seasonal fashion message, and discovering emerging designers and collections.  

Since 2017, Ms. Patel has served on the Selection Committee of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, where she is involved in ​identifying​​ ​ and mentoring top emerging designers in the program. She also sits on the founding Board of Directors for RAISEfashion, an organization connecting Black-owned brands and individuals to fashion industry leaders for mentorship. 

Prior to joining Saks​ Fifth Avenue​, Ms. Patel founded ​her namesake creative consulting company,​​ ​Roopal Patel Consulting. She also previously held positions at Moda Operandi, Neiman Marcus, and Bergdorf Goodman. 

Ms. Patel attended New York University and currently resides in New York City.
