Diotima is designed and crafted between Jamaica and New York by Rachel Scott. The brand offers a year-round and seasonally interchangeable wardrobe with a focus on craft, texture, unexpected details and fine materials. Traditional techniques are used to propose modern and sensual silhouettes, subverting and freeing them from the nostalgia often associated with such techniques. The brand engages and deconstructs the cultural and sartorial convergences of the Caribbean and European traditions.

Rooted in a reverence for savoir-faire, focus is placed on supporting and amplifying artisanal communities in Jamaica. All of the brand’s crochet is made in Jamaica. Diotima also works closely with artisans in Kolkata through a partnership with a third-generation embroidery house.
